WHAT TO EXPECT

A Warm Welcome: When you come to visit you will receive a warm welcome at the door. Ask our ‘Hello Team’ about receiving a welcome pack that’s filled with current information on all that is happening in the life of our church.

An Informal Church: Upon entering, you’ll notice that our church gatherings are informal, and that our ministers do not wear robes or collars. We invite you to come as you are, and enjoy the service wearing whatever makes you comfortable.

Something For Everyone: We like to cater for people and families of all ages. At our 8:30 am, 10:15 am and 5:00 pm services we offer creche (1-3 years) and our Sunday Kids program at 10:15 am and 5:00 pm (pre-school to primary school). You may also make use of our cry room, fitted with audio and visual technology so you don’t miss any of the service.

We Read the Bible: We are a Bible believing church. This means that every week we hear from the Bible and have it explained to us by our skilled ministry team.

We Sing: We enjoy singing a variety of contemporary Christian music and classic hymns. We understand that singing publicly isn’t for everyone, so don’t feel obligated to sing along. Feel free to read and listen to what is being sung.

We Pray: Prayer is simply when we speak to God. During prayer we give praise and thanks to God, ask him for forgiveness of where we’ve gone wrong, and ask that His will be done in our lives and in the lives of those who are suffering pain, poverty or persecution around the world.

We remember Jesus’ death: Jesus’ death and resurrection is at the centre of our faith. We remember Jesus’ death when we sing, read the bible and pray. Although, as a physical reminder of Jesus’ sacrifice we occasionally partake in the Lord’s Supper. When it is passed around feel free to partake, or just sit and watch. Don’t feel pressured, the choice is entirely up to you.

We contribute: During the last song of our service, collection bags will be passed around so that you may give discreetly. We do not expect you to contribute, after all you may only be visiting! You should only give if you can do so in good conscience.

If there is anything else you would like to know before visiting, or you have any questions, please feel free to use our ‘live chat’ function or contact the office at office@gpa.church or (02) 4733 1635.
